Lieberman Defeat in Connecticut: Democrats Might be Forced to Take a Stand

Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) loses to Ned Lamont in an exceedingly rare primary defeat of an incumbent.   Might this force the Democratic Party to take a stand on the ongoing War in Iraq?  I hope so.  This is the chance for the Democratic leadership to frame the issue.  If the Democratic Party can take a stand as a party then the country can have a real public debate with a party representing each side on whether the US should be continue involvement in Iraq.
